Join us in August for an Education Panel with Kate Hudson, a founder of Education Veritas, Inc. and is on the Advisory Board of Turning Point USA. Also on our panel is Holly Terei, Georgia’s grassroots coordinator for the American Federation for Children, educating, mobilizing and engaging the state on the issue of school choice. She also serves on both the national and state board for No Left Turn in Education, while running her own Chapter, “Gwinnett County Parents for Quality Education”. Our panel will discuss empowering parents to defend and take control of their children’s education. Learn what’s been happening in our schools, and how parents can become engaged.
Recently in the news Betsy DeVos, former Secretary of Education discussed the need to reform the education system starting with “education freedom, eliminating the (DOE), supporting multiple pathways to post-K-12 education, federal student aid reform and restoring Title IX.” (source: Daily Caller)
Kate is a native Atlantan. She is a founder of Education Veritas, Inc., a Section 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that supports and encourages primarily parents of private school students to be involved and help in a positive, constructive way with teachers and administrators, on issues like (a) bullying, (b) teachers and administrators teaching personal ideological and political beliefs, and (c) gender ideologies. She attended the Westminster Schools (pre-1st to 12th) and is a 1996 graduate of Southern Methodist University with a degree in Journalism and English. Kate is on the Advisory Board of Turning Point USA. She is a member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church and The Capital City Club. Her hobbies are exercising, cooking and spending time with her family. Kate and Harold have three boys. Henry is 18 and attends Ben Franklin Academy. Truman is 15 and Winston is 13 both attend Whitefield Academy.
Suzanne Phillips is the co – founder of Beacon Life, a ministry aimed to educate, equip and empower parents to lead their families by shedding light on current culture. Suzanne is a Co – founder of 2 hybrid schools in the Atlanta area and well as, Ignite the Family, a national ministry for moms. Suzanne is a Vision and Strategy Consultant working with organizations such as No Left Turn in Education and is contributor for Celebrate Kids Inc and The Counter Culture Mom.
Holly Terei currently works as Georgia’s grassroots coordinator for the American Federation for Children, educating, mobilizing and engaging the state on the issue of school choice. She also serves on both the national and state board for No Left Turn in Education, while running her own Chapter, “Gwinnett County Parents for Quality Education”. Her background is special needs advocacy, spending the last 10 years fighting for the rights, awareness and inclusion of special needs children.
